CONGRATULATIONS to Greg on winning the Touchstone National Men’s Singles title this afternoon at St Saviours. Greg will go on to the BIBC finals next year in Llandridnod Wells to try to emulate his brother Ross and win the Men’s National Singles title. Commiserations must go to Steve de Ste Croix as the losing finalist today. Commiserations also to Kevin Andrieux who eventually lost out in a tight and closely contested Novice final.
Yesterday saw disappointment for Sun bowlers as our strong ladies triples team of Jackie Knight, Eileen Vowden and Cathy Le Sueur found themselves up against a formidable and in-form JBC team led by Fiona Archibald. And in what was a valiant battle which went to an extra end, our Mens Fours of Scott Baxter, Steve de Ste Croix, Raymond Baxter and Matt Herve, lost out narrowly in their final.
Well done to all of our bowlers who made it to the finals! The Sun will be back next year!
