Played on what was for some, a tricky green, JBC hosted Sun bowlers this afternoon in the annual friendly competition. In glorious conditions, 6 rinks of fours took to the green to play for the ‘honours’. Although competitive, the games were played out in the true spirit of the game and a good time was had by all.
After the game, it was clear that the visitors had triumphed over the hosts. The score was not important – for some. But for the record, the visitors won by 4 rinks to 2 and with a shot difference of 102 to 70! But it was the taking part that mattered ….. honestly!!
