It was a pleasure to welcome our visitors from Edinburgh West End Bowls Club to the Sun this afternoon (Monday 29th April). The atmosphere on the green was fantastic with large amounts of (friendly!) banter and good humour from both sides, contributing to a most enjoyable afternoon of bowls, played in good weather and on an excellent playing surface.
In the keenly contested games across the 4 rinks, the visitors ran out narrow victors by 3 rinks to 1. But the real winner was the game of bowls: what better way to advertise and promote the game than this. Congratulations to all the players from both teams!
After the games, both teams enjoyed the hospitality of the bar and an excellent buffet in clubhouse.
