On Saturday 11th May, the Sun Bowls Club welcomed a party of bowlers from the Vale Rec for an inter club friendly match played out between four triples teams from each club. In glorious sunny conditions, the 4 games of 18 ends were keenly contested. There was a great atmosphere on the green and some good bowling on show from both teams.
In the end, the result was a narrow win for the visitors by just 4 shots. Congratulations to them and well done to all 24 players.
After the game, both teams teams enjoyed an excellent buffet in the clubhouse. Many thanks must go to Sue and Margaret in particular, but also to all those who helped any way.
It was, without doubt, a great day for bowls and enjoyed by all!
